[EXPLORATION] Quality of life and detailed stats features

Ok firstly, thanks for the great game that is Elite: Dangerous. i've never been one for space sim, or simulation game in general, but this one hooked me like few games did in 30 years. I recently engage myself in the exploration part of the game, and I have to say that even if the 1000LY planning, names on discovered objects and the credits rewards adjustment has made things better, this is not sufficient to make exploration as enjoyable as it could be. Let me explain.

1/ Exploration log pannel

As it is, there's no way to show where i've been, what systems I've visited, distance travelled, number of objects scanned, types of objetcs scanned, level of scans, etc... Some detailed statistics on a dedicated pannel could give some more incentive and sense of achievements to explorers.

2/ Galaxy Map icons and path

  • We should be able to see the path travelled on the Galaxy Map
  • Special icons markers for systems visited / scanned / partially scanned
  • Ability to set multiple systems as planned destination and keep them book marked while still being able to plot our route independantly
  • Update the nav computer to remember plotted routes between sessions => I still don't understand why this has not bee implemanted yet

These features should not be too complicated to implement and greatly improve the life of explorers out there by providing visibility and feedback on their travels. Come on Frontier, its 3301 In game, i'm sure by then the features I describe here should exist in any nav computers and thus not considered like dumbing down the game. On the contrary, it would make exploration more concrete and tangible.

i'm sorry if the subject has already been treated but i've seen nothing about that anywhere.
