Hello CMDRS, just curious about something, which may have all ready been answered.

If I was to invite a friend to multicrew and we went off exploring, would having my friend onboard unlock Palin for him, if we travelled over the 5,000ly requirement to unlock him?

Or does that only apply to the helm and not crew members.

I would hope not - although I've not tried it - Good question

One would expect the stats to stay with the host commander

I wouldn't try it in the current state of things though. What if it is bound to one session and counters are reset when leaving the ship? With current stability / disconnecting issues, that could look like a certain loss of time - if multicrew is anything but a "feeling" experience.
