Hoping someone can answer a exploration question for me.

I am currently out in the unknown exploring and quite like the idea of being the first person to discover systems and leave my mark in the universe.
When i go to some systems I can see it shows a tag for 'first discovered by', but I even after i go to a system that has no 'first discovered by' tag and explore it all, it does not show me as the first discoverer.
Is it only other pilots who will see my name if i was the first? or should it show me as well?

after cashing in and going back you SHOULD(™) see it. that you marked the lamppost =)
actually you also only need to use your system scanner to get the "discovered by" tag on it
