Newcomer / Intro Exploration question

Hi all,

So I know there are tons of guides with all the best locations for guardian sites, or the best locations to mine etc, etc.

But I'd like to play more organically even if its not efficient at all, so my question is:

Are there enough guardian sites out there that I can stumble upon them if I just pick a direction to explore?
Are their enough mining hotspots out there that I can stumble upon decent places to mine without using guides?

I really appreciate the awesome guides to get things as quick as possible but I like to play at a slower, relaxed pace.

Mining spots yes. Those are easy to find but they take time. When Borann was the fashion I had a friend that had his own spot that was better.

Guardian Ruins not so much. The exist in a particular part of the galaxy so you'd have to be flying in that direction to find them accidentally. But, if you DSS everything there's a chance you might find one. Before the DSS it was even harder.

Dont forget to scour the codex.
There is not a lot, but there are clues that can sometimes set you off to a suitable area.

Nearly everything is procedurally generated. It doesn't matter where you go, you find the same things. The chance of finding domething new is infinitessimally small.Those guys that do find things have probably been tipped off. I've been on several long trips full of hope, but then comes the realisation of reality, and the word schmuck suddenly becomes understandable.
