[Exploration] Selling Scan Data is TEDIOUS And NOT ENJOYABLE

Hello FD,

I'd like to think by now you would have noticed comments made by myself, and other fellow explorers re the tedium of selling of scan data.

I recently got back from a 26,000 ly journey and had the pleasure of spending 3 hours clicking the mouse twice to sell my cartographic data.

3 hours pressing to confirm sale of data scans (whether or not I choose to do it all at once or in stages) is not the best use of my time in game. Enjoyment factor = 0 here I'm afraid.

I understand a solution may not be easy, but something really needs to be done about this. I'm setting out for the core now, that's going to be around the 52,000ly mark

in distance traveled.

I'm already not looking forward to the 6 hours it will take me (most likely) to sell my data.

Regards,

SpacialKatana.

I believe part of the problem is that it takes a few seconds to validate every transaction. For some reason.

I'd love the ability to "sell everything with a value less than x". It's quite interesting to see the high value sectors you scanned, but I really don't care about sectors <2000Cr...

I totally agree. I haven´t done the big trips yet, but even 230 ly and selling that data afterwards is a waste of time. Also, does it matter WHOM you seel the data to (faction related), and what are the consequences of selling that data,
The meaning of exploration is about a purpose, so I certainly miss some core items here on the UC Data and Exploration part.

Finally, I would love to see some more simplified "scientific" approaches in collecting data. Once an interesting world has been identified, the commander should be able to do some more scanning by "utilizing" the commanders brain (like programming a scanner in a different way to get even better or more advanced data back... maybe through some puzzle or wiring circuits (see the 80's game "Paradroid").
Just pressing a button and waiting seconds on each scan is somewhat useless time. If that wiring above will make scanning faster, THAT would be great. And this wiring would need to be connected to the commanders individual ship configuration and faction affiliation, so "internet" based forum "tips and tricks" can not be shared.

Totally agree with that. Though my first deep space exploration only took me to the coalsack dark cloud (600ly from lave), i scanned something around 80 systems, not 3 hours of clicking but i can imagine the tediousness it.
