A simple telescopic view of the planet that I can look at while it takes 30-60 seconds to scan would be a start. I can see it in the system chart but I'd like to see a little more added while I scan. Specific missions from paying customers to a certain system & planet would be good too.

comon. So sell all datas ok, even though a true explorer that did a "real" trip meaning 2000+ Ly back&forth would like to know which systems are worth more and therefore would like to sell each one by one because he fell in "love" with each end every one he/she scanned.
Anyway, why not the sell all datas button... but beside that, I think it's not about making exploration like a plug-and-play device but rather have it bring more if the challenge is bigger. WhoCares thing about the emperor I agree, but then explorer means that you could also find a new resource at the edge of known space and that have always been why powers like to support risky expeditions rather than "safe" one.
The algebra of exploration is = more danger = more profit. period.
The list above simply tries to turn exploration into a weekend in the country with GPS and a credit-card.

ps: I haven't seen any of you in the cartographics record breaker - thread, which is where the real (non-complaining) explorators are actually found. Did you know that a guy just found a system with FOUR black holes and one neutron star?? Where were you all? thinking of how it would be good if you could have an exploration-auto-pilot?

I'm not saying it should be a walk in the park on a summers day.
The galaxy map is completly useless, the routeplanner is slower then my grand mother and so on ...
Lets keep it constructive pls.

I didn't even know neutron stars and black holes were in the game! I better get out there. And I hope I'm not coming off as complaining, far from it. I'm looking forward to seeing how this evolves over time. If I get bored, it is my own fault. I don't rage quit with an announcement of grievances on the forums, I just play something else for awhile. In the meantime, if the devs are open to implementing suggestions over time like the OP's list, then all the better.
