Exploration : Warning, stay away from -20 to -60 !!!

Hitting non-scoopable main entry stars is not a biggy because we keep an eye on it and after the 5th or 6th one we deviate from our route to a system that we can scoop from, or we go to the 2nd star in a non-scoopable main star system.

All of this costs us time, so here is a warning :

At a height of -20 to -60 (that is the middle number in the co-ordinate system on the map) there is a huge amount of non-scoopable stars !!! We are talking mainly L , T and Y (most of it are the L dwarves). This region is practically endless at those heights, but gets denser past the cat's paw nebula, then even more dense past around 12000 LY from SOL. After about 19000 LY it thins.

Not only it has depth, but also width, it is everywhere !!!!

So, Stay away from the galactic heights of -20 to -60 inclusive or risk being slowed down, or worse, running out of fuel if you're distracted.

ty :)

That's not far off the plane at all where most explorers start out. It won't be the depth that's your problem here.

I think there has to be a risk to exploring and things like these warnings on forums and the nifty star filter the only thing to help you navigate. If not then it's Elite Cakewalk.

M class stars are scoopable and the most frequent in our galaxy. I have been up and down where your route could be an ocean of unscoopable stars, but usually if you stop and have a look at gal map, you can find an M class 1 or 2 jumps away.
