Exploration: What are the best things you've found?

For me personally I've got three things I think are worth mentioning:

HEN 2-333: This looks like a supernova remnant but it doesn't have a black hole or neutron star inside it (weird). Also it's the center of the IC 4673 cluster.
NYEAJEE SY-Z D36: This is just a normal system but it has 3 Earth-likes in it orbiting one another.
NGC 40 STAR: This is special because of how it looks. Set your map to realistic and check it out. Also known as the Bow-Tie Nebula. This one I haven't actually visited. In fact after close examination of the map, I think you'd need at least a 55 LY jump range to even possibly get there. I know people whom have tried in Anacondas, but it's not possible yet.

How about you? What have you guys found - anything unusual? Even if you haven't visited it but just located something odd on the map, let's hear about it.

Best thing I have found? And Earth like around a Neutron star....
.
Wildest Experience? Jumping in to a system, and buzzing a Binary so close on approach to main star, that my fuel scoop engaged for a second or two.............and 30 mins later as I was STILL wondering what would happen if I warped THROUGH a star........it happened........
.
Going through it felt/sounded oddly like going through a bubble, and then I was the middle ball in a Nuclear Newtons Cradle.....ran away, very fast indeed.......lol.

Cool, what system? :)

Happened to me at least twice too, it's mental. :)

Hello Glynie :)
.
Checked my data, and sorry, it was a Water World with active water based Chem Life............suitable for Terraforming.........just, don't forget to pack your sunblock......... :) I'm on my way back with the data now, as I want to try some RES hunting........chances are I will face plant a star though(wouldnt be the first time), as I am in a rush.....hehehehe

I suppose the oddest thing I've found (more than once) is a binary (or more) system that shows the orbit of one star penetrating it's parent star.

One of these days I'm going to drop out of SC and video this sort of anomaly for a few days just to see what happens...

Ah no worries man. Still pretty cool. I was also looking for an Earth-like with a black hole or neutron star in the same system but I haven't found one yet. :)

Yeah that is pretty ridiculous. :)

A system with 4 black holes fairly close to each other.

And I've come to expect Wolf Rayet stars to be blue until I jumped into this

I found this thing last night...........For once, I felt safe having a quick break whlie re-fueling..............if you can see the read-out, at 30km/s, it was going to take 133 days to get there.......a big fella.......... :)
