Explored my way into trouble

Jumped into Synuefue PO-M A34-1 and was unable to scoop fuel which left my tank half empty. Recalculated to hit as many systems as I could with the remaining fuel. The next 9 jumps yeilded a crop of brown dwarf stars and a feeling of building anxiety at the impending loss of my data, which includes my first Earth like planet and a couple hundred other systems. The tenth, and final jump, found salvation at the mercy of a scoopable star. Damn. That was close.

Love this game...

Just to let you know if that happens again you can go to the view page on navigation and choose to see the stars according to class - when I am exploring I have it set so only scoopable varients show then when I check that my planned route leads through a scoopable before the line becomes broken - if it doesnt I reroute so I do hit something scoopable.

Look at the galaxy map of unexplored systems listed in the info panel are the types of stars one may find in that system. So if you have a M, K, O, F type stars you should be ok. Even if the system has not been explored it does list what stars you might find there. sometimes it will be a secondary star in system if the main star is not a type where you can refuel.

Exact same thing happened to me last week. I believe I went through close to 50 systems without a scoopable star in my set route, so I finally stopped and found a star within jump range.

Fuel was less than half of this when I finally found a star.

Somebody was kind enough to post this.

Kudos to Nutter for making that.

Dont worry most of us have to come within a knats breath of dying before we go and look up the information that would have saved us - or some of us made the basic errors in sidewinders and learned the hardway to plan our routes lol.

Remember this word when checking your plotted route "LYTT" those are un scoopable the L Y T and TT.
Easier to remember than all the scoopable ones.. lytt also means listen in norwegian so listen up and stay away kinda thing:p
