I received a very nice detailed ED star map (poster) today and was in awe of how tiny the map showed on the scale of our galaxy


Suggestion to FDev: How about finding some way to illustrate what systems have been visited each month/half year/annually via newsletter or the Galnet thingy so us mere part time mortals can travel off somewhere to a place where no-one has been before?


The cartography from exploring is banked somewhere yes? and there are a lifetime of systems to find so it’s hardly game (lore) breaking and for a few of us it would be nice to head off somewhere and plant a flag with our name on it - if only once - instead of finding commander ‘nosleep’ got there three years ago (-;

I'd like to 2nd the idea knowing who discovered what - even if it is only a color denotation on the galaxy map of which systems were discovered first by the commander viewing the map.

I guess we'll know who discovered something when we get there but a visual indication in the galaxy map of places that have/haven't (whatever is easiest to impliment) been ravaged (sorry, 'visited') would be nice.
