I'm just setting out on my second exploration trip today, and this time I'm specifically not headed for anywhere, just picking random systems and jumping. That seems the best way to discover totally new systems. Tourist spots have all been done.
HOLY!!! I just got there. Went straight to HIP 11792 C to check it out... closed to within 2Mm and still couldn't see the damn thing. Dared not approach any closer. Have parked in orbit of the water moon. Hope those things don't get me during the night.
I came across a really odd looking black hole on a Sag.A run a few weeks back, I did. Never took a screen grab, but I'm heading back out that way on a short run.
Always found Barnard's loop pretty interesting and I've got a lot of screen grabs of a certain system that is under investigation. But the one below I really like.
