Given the mountains of free astronomical data available to be imported as locations in the game, there are some things that should just be jaw-dropping to visit. If there's just one graphical bit of eye candy I could wish for beyond the stars and planets themselves, it would be the various nebulae around the galaxy that would become visible and grow larger as you jumped to stars nearer and nearer to them. The Pleiades are a good example, but also planetary nebulae like the Helix and Ring Nebulae.
Trust in David Braben and the crew's ambitions are all the reason I need to hang on no matter the final state of the game.
