Horizons Exploring. Some more.

I dropped out of being a power supporter to do some exploring. Reason? When I moved around a bit I got a "Hostile" note above the fuel gauge.
I was a long way out and had done some exploring. Was in a Fed system and decided to do a mission for some one.

We hope that you will continue to support us and you will always be welcomed at our ports."

I'm wondering if anything will happen as I dropped out of Federation. Have any of you people had this conundrum before? [woah]

Is there any point in scanning a nav beacon when the planets are all named?

The message is a standard "you are now an ally" one - because of your completed mission upping your rep.

It has nowt to do with any powerpants pledging.

Don't know about the beacon, never bothered doing it.

Being an ally of the Federation, Empire or Alliance won't cause you to be hostile by any of the three.

I don't think scanning the nav beacon has any benefits if all the planets are known... However if you don't have a Advance Scanner and take certain mission the nav beacon will give you the location of the mission or planet that you seek.

I have headed for Merope and want to explore and scan as I go. I just explored a large system but no vav beacon in the system.
Each planet was landable as I scanned them. Also first discovered by some one else.

Is this a normal thing? I mean no nav beacon and no names till I personally discover them?

Bump!

Set yourself a target to go outside the bubble for 1000ly in a random direction you'll start finding some systems that nobody has been to before - that's where it starts getting addictive.

Also since I last went, logging your trip has become a lot easier; Have a look at setting up an account with www.edsm.net , install the EDmarketConnector client and set up your account and add the API Key from your EDSM website account in the client - and it'll automatically keep a track of every system you visit whilst mapping it for the community.
