I've decided to park up my Anaconda which was sourced after months of grinding away a number of trade routes. Figured I'd customise an Asp and head into the centre of the galaxy for a change of scenery.
But after a few 1000s LYs from home, I decided to immerse myself into the Oculus experience (which I normally only reserve for combat) but realise that using the OR when deep in unexplored space is futile.
As the galaxy map is such an important part of exploration, it's still so poorly implemented for OR use, I can't click on specific stars and if I do, looking to the info-panel on the left deactivates the focus on the star.
After a few fumbling attempts at sideways looking I decided to park the headset. It's a shame because I was really looking forward to admiring FD's rendition of the galaxy (which so far has been just beautiful) but frankly it's more of a pain than I hoped.
Anyone experienced any positive uses of the OR when exploring?
