Hi All,
I'm a new explorer running with a Type-6 with intermediate discovery scanner and Surface scanner.
Anyone got any advice on exploring and making good money with this for an exploring newbie?
Also had trouble surface scanning asteroid clusters, anyone know if this can be done with the surface scanner?

To scan asteroid clusters you need to be within 5 Ls, however, you don't get paid for scanning them so I would skip them if I were you.

What!? Grumble, grumble... Finally an explanation why I've earned so little from systems after scanning their 20+ asteroid clusters...

It's a bit sad. I hope FD will add some kind of "complete system scan"-bonus in the future, because, well, it nags me a bit to leave those breadcrumbs flying around as unexplored. But at the same time, it's just not worth scanning through them all.

if you want to make some money from exploring you must have advanced discovery scanner. because you will miss so much objects... for more info check nutter's explorer thread, it has basically everything that explorer should know.
