Exploring......

So....after a few months away from this GAME, I pop back in to try to give it a chance.

Nope. Exploration....the very last thing that was interesting is now made tedious as well. I just want to pop into a system....scan.....look at the system map....and then go to each planet/moon and do a detailed surface scan.

Even THAT has been screwed up.

Can I just have the old game back?????????

I doubt it.

I mean sure there's room for a bit of compromise so people could still enjoy the old fly-in-a-straight-line-for-5-minutes "gameplay" - and you still have to fly to each planet to surface scan/probe them to locate POIs. But the new system (a few potential tweaks aside) is far more useful for finding POIs and such in time-respecting fashion which allows FD to add content anyone could find rather than just Canonn obsessives*!

I am unsure how adding gameplay can make it more tedious then what it was before.

I am either under the impression you just took a peek and jumped to conclusions or you just want to dislike it. Whatever it is, you won't get the "old" game back, and I hope very much the scanning system stays exactly as it is now.
Take another look and inform yourself properly and you will see that you have more than before.
