large landing platform on smaller stations that is express only. 10 minute max timer, giving you 5 minutes to find it and once on it 5 minutes till you have to leave or be charged for loitering. an option for people only wanting to turn in a mission, bond, bounty, or repair, re-arm, refuel.

Great idea, but how would you choose this pad for landing over the other pads? Request docking then just fly to it instead of your intended one?

It would be great if you didn't have to wait for all the mechanisms of the elevators and doors and what not at this pad too - if it used a different system that required less waiting.

And why charge for loitering? Just eject them out into space.

was picturing that it being a flat pad not one with a hanger, no turning around just land and then take off facing same direction. also no outfitting / shipyard at it.

why charge for loitering? Just eject them out into space.

if they put in mechanisms for ejecting the ship would be great if not tho, a traffic fine that will continue to stack the longer you are on the pad.

You didn't mention commodity markets at all, is this something traders could use?
I would feel that something like this should exclusively refuel, repair, rearm, and send you on your way within seconds of docking.

i think it could be available tho with the 5 minute timer you have to know what you want. not much time for checking prices and trade traffic so normal docking might be a better option.

Traders do not check prices. Traders spend more time in loading screens than they do looking at prices.

i don't know much about trade rarely have done it, but someone i wing with regularly i know will spend awhile looking over that station sells where will take it and what his profits might be. he would never finish doing all he does on an express pad.
