I Logged on for the first time in 3-6 months the other day. After deciding not to purchase the latest expansion, I logged on to shut down the services on my carrier until I decide to play again. I started thinking I was super lame that my FC would be floating around, a part of the game yet completely useless to anyone, for a long time(until 3+ billion runs out). I also started thinking that if I do try to return, but my carrier has been trashed, I probably won't want to play at all.
Carrier upkeep for an active player is a tiny, easily obtainable amount. I just feel there should be a point of COMPLETE account inactivity (12-36 weeks?) when the carrier is removed or frozen from the game without the in-game destruction process that an inactive player won't even experience.
P.S. What happens to all the ships and modules on a carrier that is decommissioned?
