I know, click-bait... But I do actually have a point.

As it happens, stealth pilots like me pretty much get two extra pips in effect, because we need nothing in SYS.

Want more power? Fly stealth! More fun anyway!
 
If I can hull/armour tank my ASP-E in PVE just fine then I call on this statement. And I'm trigger happy and often take on wings of dangerous+ npc without police backup so....

You cannot repair your hull in space. Thus, hull tanking is useless for RES hunting, not to mention CZs.
 
My ussue wirh hull tanking in PvE is that its no good for bounty farming as i have to keep going back for repairs. Fine for one off encointers though. Oh and I thought stealth didnt work in PvE as the AI can still see and target us.

I've hull/armour tanked for hours in RES sites. I usually have to go back to restock on ammo before my hull becomes an issue.

So no I don't agree with you on this one.
I would like to see some form of hull/ armour repair system though.

As long as it cant be usefully done in combat I'm ok with it. E.g. leave the res/conflict zone, find somewhere quiet and activate the hull repairer, let it use mats for ammo and we're away. Then return and rinse and repeat.

What I don't want to see are any healing beams that can magically repair hull.
 
Except the fact that stealth builds are absolutely useless outside PVP...

I have a lot of fun in pve with a shieldess armoured dbs with all power to engines modded out of it's mind.

Hull repair systems would make many federal ships a viable and fun choice in PVE. I'd love to be able to fight in CZ's with any of the fed ugly pigs!

You need power in SYS for ECM, point defense, chaff, heat sinks,...
