extra train on coaster without closing attraction ( extra station to put train in storage)

Dear planet coaster!

I hope in the future you will add a feature tot put up some extra trains on a coaster without closing the attraction. Now we must close the attraction before adding an new train and all the people that were waiting for the attration must leave and after adding a train it takes a wile before guests come back!

So please think about an extra storage place like in real life to put up some extra trains on a coaster!!

Thx a lot

Awesome realstic idea, anyways, i think that user created content will solve this issue if the enable mods! :)

except for in real life, they have to completely close the ride to add trains, as they use whats called a "transfer track" ......these work by completely removing a section of the track on the coaster and replacing that section with another section with the train on it, this is usually done in the closing hours of the park, and sometimes can cause the ride to be closed for a day, rarely, but it happens. some coasters do have switch tracks to add/replace trains, which makes this process quicker, but still requires the ride to close. no coaster, does this process with the ride open, for safety, testing and time reasons.

I was thinking in an realistic setup of a coaster, for example: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=803253895 or http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198034195595/screenshot/135500881481680518

Excuse me but I'm ride operator in real life, I've been working on several coasters, and OF COURSE this is totally wrong.
We can add or remove vehicules from the ride in about 30sc while others trains are cycling with passengers on board.

And about Planet Coaster, I agree this would be an amazing feature. With RCT3 there were the trick to pause the game, close the ride, add or remove a vehicule, re-open the ride and then resume the game. That let all the peeps stay in the line. But on PC that doesn't work because you must re-test the ride if you change the number of vehicules on the ride :(

Tad aggressive, don't you think? I mean different parks operate differently. If none of the parks he's been to have hot swapped trains, it's entirely reasonable for him to think it's not routine. That's not to say he's correct, but a simple correction would have been fine.

this was brought up many times during early alpha and nothing ever came of the transfer tracks to add more trains, nothing ever came of it,i hope it does in the future.

theres going to be exceptions to what i said, but most park safety rules do not allow track and train switching to happen while a train is completeing a circuit, thats crazy, if your being honest.

but if you do switching while the ride is still open, then im wrong.

not that im disagreeing, with the want of transfer and switch tracks, closed or not. because i most definitely would love that in the game.

Anyway, I would like to be able to add or remove trains without having to close the ride down. And at worst, if there are people in the cue, couldn't they just wait there while the trains cycled once & then start boarding.

I preferred RCT3 when some people would ride before the test results came in & then more people would join after the results were there.

I love tweaking my coasters but I don't enjoy it as much in PC with having to close the coaster down & re-test it (especially when you can't test with the game on pause).

not being disrepectful here but if you are a ride op then you will know that moving a train while a training is doing a circuit is against health and saftey i have worked for 1 theme park the only time we could add another train if we were running 1 train operation we had to either have the train on the block brake or in the station loaded but not allowed to be moved

transfer track would be nice but if that happend how would that happen because if you think about it you make a coaster it can have 3 trains operation but one is in storage and maintence bay you would have to have a transfer track right after a block brake and just hope that the breaks dont fail but i would like to see this implimented

Sorry about that, I'm not an English native speaker and sorry if my tone was a little agressive, I didn't want that :(

In fact I think it depends of the coaster and not the safety rules of the park management. Of course if the coaster is a simple one with one station, one lift and a block section at the end, the train must be stopped at the station while the other one get into the circuit, if not there will be two trains on the same zone indeed.

But on the rides with several brake zone, it's completely safe. The ride understand when you start the manipulation to add a train (and if not, it's simply doesn't work), and stop the others trains coming behind in the previous brake section. I operated Vekoma (4 trains max), Maurer (12 vehicules max) and Intamin rollercoasters (6 trains maximum), and it worked this way for each one :)

Both of them have the hability to use switch track/transfert track while the ride's still in normal/automatic mode, l'épingle all the safety systems, without switch it in manual mode which in this case totally unsecured (thing which have been made on The Smiler and caused an accident).

I think honestly, the devs should include the option to build in switch tracks for transfer stations on all rides, not just coasters. For example, if the steam train transfer ride had a switch track involved, you could have multiple routes to go around the park. It could also make it possible to build a round house type transfer station (that's the structure on a railroad that usually holds the locomotives and some times full on train). Of course with the addition of transfer tracks and switches, the devs would have to include signals and other important equipment that would make these ideas realistic.
