Extreme difficulty in Jurassic Challenge Mode (Impossible)

The Jurassic Challenge mode is practically impossible to reach the 5 stars, has any hint? I have increased the variety of dinosaurs but the stars do not increase, nor have I reached the 2 stars!! Please give me some tips

There's also an EXTREMELY annoying bug in Jurassic difficulty, at least on Isla Tacano. Your transportation rating will be low even if you place the Monorail Stations appropriately. Locations will appear red when you look under the management view, even though there's a station literally RIGHT NEXT TO IT. I've never experienced this problem anywhere else, only on Tacano.

Pena is impossible for me, all i want is the half way decent rex skin. Herbivores make you bankrupt instantly. I make carnivores and im completely broke, cant even afford a feeder or ranger team before they start to starve or get sick and die. When i do manage to get a few species: dilos, cerats, barys, Velociraptors... Im still only at 1 n a half star and making no money. The fossil sites dry up or the market says a fossil isnt in demand so you cant make extra cash. As soon as you reach 1 million in cash they send a storm that knocks out power and damages a 3rd of the park, if a dino escapes your done!!! You go from 1 million to negative 100,000 in a minute. You have to demolisy your infrastructure to get back in the black. Then all your money goes back to replacing what you demolished. Then another storm hits. 200+ star rating dinos should bring some income in. If they dont bring in money they should at least increase the star rating some. Maybe someone has a walkthrough for it, but its too small and costly for me to get working when I've tried.

Jurassic mode is very very difficult but you can beat it. There are a number of pages and YouTube videos that can offer tips and guides. One thing I noticed when I started doing Isla Nublar was no storms occurred until I earned my first star. Knowing this I waited hours to get a decent amount of cash. Granted this is less than ideal but it gives you enough cash to help ensure you will have a positive cash flow. Isla Pena is meant to be the hardest so I'd personally try an easier one such as Matenceros or Nublar if you haven't already. I do feel though its a heavy grind just for one skin. Perhaps three would make it more appealing.

I agree

Thanks for the tip

Havent found one. But im doing better this time so far. Only at 1 n half stars. But i got 4 million in cash. Need to get some more species and see where it goes from there.

Always do the dinosaurs you get when you start challenge mode. Struthimimus, Edmontosaurus, Triceratops, Huangosaurus, The researched dinosaurs and Ceratosaurus. Add these to your park before you continue. Although Huangosaurus costs more than Triceratops it is cheaper and gives you a better rating.

All I wanted was the wetland T-Rex skin, but this challenge mode is nigh impossible. It would be better to have them as DLC and do away with the challenges, or at least give us the option to purchase the skins via DLC; there’s money to be made, and people will pay it.

Not impossible, you just need to learn the tips and tricks of getting going. The first star in Jurassic difficulty is always brutal, once you get past that you’ll get storms, but the money flows easier.

I’d recommend watching Bestinslot, he made a great video outlining tips to Jurassic difficulty.

I’ve done Pena (7:56) and Tacaño (9:48) on Jurassic so far. I had to have those Rex and Brachio skins lol. I’m going to try Sorna next just to say I did it even if the Velociraptor skin I’ve heard isn’t great.

What I learned from Pena is this. Power station right away in the lower area left of the entrance. Get struthi out as fast as possible in a medium enclosure. Fill it entirely with Edmontos and struthis. Do not excavate for Huayang or cerato. You should reach a star with that exihibit. Research dig yield, apply it 3 times. Jam little enclosures everywhere filled with struthis, Archae, or Gallis. Save for the monorail, then delete all long paths through the skinny bits. Put enclosures in both skinny bits filled with edmonts and struthis. Iguanodon is your best friend if you have it, very high rating and you can have ten in one enclosure which can be fairly small.

Metriacanthosaurus and Ceratosaurus are the only safe carnivores that won’t revolt after or during a storm.

Just some tips to get you on the way to 3 stars, you should find your way after that. Hope some of that helps!

Let me know how you do in Sorna. Having a heck of a time with a transportation setup. Only thing holding me back from 5 stars it seems.

Woo! I finally completed the Jurassic Challenge on Pena! It took several hours spread out over a week but it's done!

The tip that helped me the most was getting the stress inhibitor gene and confined space gene. Once i heard it i was like duh! Once i got it i was able to keep my velociraptors caged longer during storms. The extra money and time helps you to slowly expand. Once you get to stress inhibitor 3.0 you dont have to worry about storm breakouts unless you get a tornado that destroys your fence.

The hardest part was the dino rating. You need 6,000 and i was hovering at 5,435... I didnt have room or money for another large carnivore.. But the Dreadnaugts were about 300+ ratings a piece for just under 3 million. They got me over the edge.

Wow, I've never heard of anyone using velociraptors on Jurassic Challenge before. That seems like extra hard mode to me. Congrats on doing Challenge mode the Challenging way. You have encouraged me to try new things as well.

The biggest problem of Jurassic mode is the extreme difficulty in getting money, even tornadoes are easier to deal with, I imagine that even getting a good amount (above 1 million) is necessary to play several hours for several months just to get a Decent amount of money. I only spend the necessary but the economy of my park is always bad 😓
