Eye of terror or Commoragh regions for *hardcore* PvP players ?

It comes from the observation that PvP players tend to become griefers and gankers especially when they get bored.
Their sick twisted competitive little mind turns to dark thoughts and ways to break the game to end the boredom.

:D I think for these people (sick sick people), a place like the Eye of Terror or Commorragh somewhere in the galaxy would have a huge appeal.

A region of space that is hard to find or get to... unmapped...

A place where everything is permitted. Violence is a way of life.
A place where combat/raid/pillage is mandatory, kills unconsensual, fleeing is dishonorable.
Unadulterated PvPorking...

Gaining ranks in that region rewards you with special pvp skins for ships.
Skins that people and security quickly learn to recognize (they would be inspired by Firefly's Reavers).
Skins that make civilized stations say "Docking permission... OH GOD NOPE NOPE NOPE. RAISE THE SHIELDS !"

Your first paragraph is one massive filled assumption. The idea isn't bad itself but you haven't done yourself any favours by making it obvious that it's simply a thinly veiled attempt to remove pvp from 'civilised' space.

A place where combat/raid/pillage is mandatory, kills unconsensual, fleeing is dishonorable

If it was filled with gankers then nobody would die because gankers are cowards when faced with equal or greater opposition. They would either run or combat log

You know whats with this thread? Sick and twisted? wth.. There is an alternative point of view and if the other side started creating threads in this fashion the forums would be filled with threads titled, Carebears, whiners, cry babies, etc..

Its a cut throat galaxy, getting shot at is to be expected. As far as I am aware its not my lil pony. Seriously..

People don't bat an eyelid when they get attacked or destroyed by an NPC.. some people appear to be in serious need of therapy.

The other side do Cozzy. Neither side is innocent.

I mean. Tally ho, for the Emperor!

PS. Obviously the OP is right. Bloody pvpers coming round here, stealing our cargo and women and men.

Probably because they know an npc don't know any better. In other words, its programmed to act that way and does not have a choice

Both wrong, Federation is the only correct answer. Go and talk to your god, when I punch your canopy...

Srsly now, there is currently no real threat from pirates. You can simply run away from them. And they are viable target for human players as there are good bounties on their heads (as one very nice thread said, bad I cant find it again). So they are only spawning randomly, flying around, getting hunted. No threat at all.
Maybe creating zone of few systems completely own by pirate syndicates flourishing would be cool. I wouldn't mind if FD would take the role of storyteller to give them chance in few systems by boosting their influence.

Exactly how does that make a difference?

The difference is that people DO bat an eye when killed by a player ganker and yet do not when its an npc, its all down to choice with a player. He gets some sort of perverse satisfaction killing a lesser player or lesser ship. On the other hand, the npc does not.I would bet my python that a player ganker would not attack a player with equal capabilities.

I have seen enough of those threads here to last me another 30 years until Elite V.

Getting pretty sick of the trader demographic trying to claim all of inhabited space as a no combat hugbox. This one's pretty insipid though. Why don't you go to a distant corner of the galaxy where weapons are banned and everyone can shuttle rare earth metals between 2 starports for eternity? We're all in this universe together, whether you like it or not. Adapt or die, or play in solo I guess.

Wow.

What is sure, is that some people have as much sense of humor as 2nd amendment defenders... :)
