FA off joystick curves, help needed

Hi all,
People on the internet say that they can shoot fixed weapons flying FA off with a joystick as good as with a mouse.
I have no issue aiming with a mouse, and I fly FAoff with a joystick all the time, but when it comes to FAoff aiming fixed weapons with the joystick everything falls apart.
With the joystick, I can follow a target but when I want to use railguns I tend to drift off the target all the time (with FAon that doesn't happen).

So, can someone explain how I should set joystick curves to aim FAoff with a joystick as precise as with a mouse?

I used to fly Hotas, a Thrustmaster T16000 set. I loved it until I wanted to shoot short range blaster rail guns in FA off. Long range were fine. Short range were impossible. I tried for months and completely failed. I went to mouse and throttle. Success!

Yes, it was a pain to learn rotationals with the mouse.

There are some excellent fa off players who do play with hotas fa off and are great with rails. Some, I am sure, are using very high end sticks. VKB and Virpil come to mind.

Anyway, the GCI discord above will able to help. Do mention which Hotas you are using.

Thanks. I actually should have that channel in Discord, haven't visited it for ages. I also have no problem with mouse and throttle, and if by rotationals you mean roll, I have Roccat Tyon helping with that.

Sorry to necro this, but did you get an answer on how the s-curves should look?
