what is a 3P cap?

It's a point tracker model alternative, where you attach three LEDs to a baseball cap, one at the top of the crown, two at the sides of the peak.

Got the software working and headtracking looks fine in Facetracknoir 1.7. However when in game nothing happens. Any hints on what I might have done wrong?

Did you place the updated FaceTrackNoIR Supported Games.csv file in the right directory? Without it ED can't recognize the FreeTrack 2.0 input.

Are you using face tracking or point tracking? Sorry if you mentioned it already, can't find it.

Is your game protocol set to FreeTrack 2.0? Have you checked the "Start dummy TrackIR.exe" option in the game protocol settings? Do you have "enable both" selected in the same settings under Interface?

Have you tried checking if you have something bound to head look controls in the settings and clearing those bindings?

There are some standard settings in the controls list, I am using X52. How do I clear fields?


The Facetracknoir application shows besides the Unknown game connected an id number: [ID = 3475].

edit: just tried all fields empty. No head tracking.
Saw in the csv file that also Mechwarrior Online is supported. When I start that it also shows an error in the facetracknoir software: Unknown game connected and id number: [ID = 3026].... also no tracking there.

I had the same problem and i found out that under my installation folder of FaceTrackNoIR there is a settings folder, inside that folder the .csv file is located. Overwrite that file with the one downloaded and it will recognise the game.

I've got it working very nicely on my logitech orbit cam, its an old cam and isn't worth $300 i bought it for £70 when they use to make them but i did test the tracking .ini file i created on another pc with a logitech HD720p and was fine with that.
