FacetracknoIR tracking IR points - UI question

I've built my own tracker, and modified my own webcam. Here are two issues I'm having - not sure if they are solvable:

1) facetracknoIR tracking 3 blobs works fine - no dropouts, all stable etc. Yet the display flicks every 10 seconds or so to somewhere else - not reflected in the XYX YPR data as it does it. It's only single frames but it's annoying. Is this common, or just me, and is there a solution?

2) When using the station UI, I'd much prefer the display to be static - I can switch off trackIR via voiceattack - but how do I use the keys to select windows again, like 1, and 4 for the ship windows? They seem to be disabled.

I was using a similar setup last night (facetracknoir with a three point tracker) and the only time things jumped were when I obscured the leds (a bit obvious that one) and when I parked in front of a star and the relected light from my display caused additional blob detections - took me a moment to figure this one out.

Things I may have done that you might not have:

• I have a few of frames of smoothing on, to prevent spikes in tracking data
• I updated my point tracker plugin to 1.1 from the 1.0 that ships with facetracknoir
• I updated my supported games csv file to the more recent one
• I used the "calibration" tool in the pointtracker plugin dialog to set my head's rotational ranges
• I took off my brilliant-white thermal vest (my display is an old 50" plasma, I wasn't cold for long) as it was causing too many interference points.

have you got a daylight filter on your webcam? Even if you've killed the IR filter, putting a bit of old floppy disk material over the lens can help make sure it only sees the IR leds.

Yeah, all filtered for just IR, and the leds are stable as far as the data tells me. I might put some hot glue on the LEDs to diffuse it further, but that's a shot in the dark.

Has anyone got a solution for 1234 not working while trackIR is on? I want to freeze my tracking in stations but I need access to the site panels with keys.

Maybe this thread might provide some insights on your issue (On a side note, you accidentally posted this in the VR subforum, which is probably why you haven't received many replies yet - maybe ask a mod to have it moved...).
