FacetrackNoIR

I downloaded facetracknoir, got it working with my webcam...got some ini from some youtube guides and all seems to be working like it should. I have one problem though in game (fullscreen mode if that important) it still my mouse that control headlook.

My stupid question of the day is how am I suppose to make it so facetrack controls the camera movement rather than my mouse?

How am I suppose to bind, in the game option control settings, it to facetrack so that controls movement rather than my mouse?

There is no need to bind anything in-game afaik. It should just work if FTNIR is configured properly.

Dang I was hoping it was some in game settings causing it to fail. Everything works fine out of game it just doesn't do anything in game. I just dont get how it "hooks" to the game so to speak.

Elite doesn't literally support FTNOIR. It does support TrackIR... and FTNOIR has a setting to 'fake' a TrackIR.exe. Enable this, and the system should then 'just work'.

If it still doesn't, then the problem is likely that you whilst the tracker is started, and your video is showing, FTNOIR is not able to discern a face pattern. If it does, then you should see a yellow line shape over your face on the video display in FTNOIR. If not, try moving your head around until it figures out what your face is. If it STILL doesn't then you should mess with the lighting on your webcam settings to create a clearer more defined image (turn of auto-exposure if you can, that just :):):):)s with the poour-wee-thing).

Did you download the latest "supported_games.csv"?
See THIS video for a very good tutorial aboput how to set it up.

Yeah that's the video I followed and got the supported games csv and both ini from.

I get the yellow squiggly line though I have to press the button on my MS lifecam vx-5000 for it to start to track, I also have dummy trackir checked as well as use trackir, hide freetrack. I am using faceapi and the accell filter mk2. this all seems to be preset with the ED low deazone ini.

Hmm, worked for me right away.
I didn't set/configure anything ingame in Elite. Did you bind mouse to headlook?
Am at work but could look it up later.

Yes, I have a t16000m and use mouse and Kb with it. I have the mouse 3 button bound a s toggle for head look. I hit the scroll wheel and then can use the mouse movement to control the cam, nothing else is set for head look in the game settings.

I'll ckeck it later if I have bound anything ingame to mouselook.
Did you set FacetrackNoIR to show itself as "TrackIR"?
