Fiction Fact or fiction? (Mostly harmless)

I think it was in Mostly Harmless and Docking is Dangerous that I came across a few sections where I thought ... That would be cool! I was wondering if they would be in game fact or remain fiction..?

1. Returning without cargo (for a trader) or not being able to sell it for a profit implied a ratings loss...
2. Pirate missions are contracted and deemed forfeit if they are not carried out to the letter of the agreement... Even though what is stipulated in the contract is highly illegal! Presumably this would "legally" allow the client to withhold payment and the client to lose rep...
3. When a ship is scanned, its weapons load-out is visible...

*I think these came from Kate's book.

4. When you have a cargo to sell, you go to a station, upload the info and the amount you want from it, then wait until someone buys it and tells you where to deliver it to. (docking is dangerous)

Actually found (or half found some of the answers myself)

Increased by: selling cargo at a profit
Decreased by: losing cargo (lost in space or sold at loss)

2. Pirate missions are contracted and deemed forfeit if they are not carried out to the letter of the agreement... Even though what is stipulated in the contract is highly illegal! Presumably this would "legally" allow the client to withhold payment and the client to lose rep...

Increased by: successfully completing missions for factional navies
Decreased by: failing to complete missions for factional navies
... This is for the mercenary rep though and not pirate...

For question 3, I haven't checked for ages but I believe subsystem targeting lets you see the load-out. You might also be able to see it in the contacts panel, though I haven't checked that one at all.

For question 4, I haven't read Docking is Difficult yet but it sounds like you're describing a put option. Personally I think it'd be fun, but Frontier have generally shied away from making trade too complex. Probably not ruled out, but don't hold your breath.

I've had many "I want to be able to do that!" moments from Drew Wagars' Elite: Reclamation so far, and I'm only half way through the book.

Just simple things like travelling via dark systems, forcing a mis-jump or following someones hyperspace trail I can't wait to do.

But also, picking up unique cargo via piracy that leads to a much bigger mission or towing a disabled ship with a harpoon/grappling hook type device to sell it.

With so many possibilities with this game, £35 for the expansion pass is the deal of the century.

I went for a cycle ride yesterday, and at the point where I was lost and my bike had filled completely with mud, I thought about how every good adventure needs a point in the middle where you've had enough and just want to go home.

Yeah, t'is a good book :)
