I've just been looking round the galactic map based on allegiance.
Its interesting that there seem so few Alliance planets compred with the others.
What's more interesting is that Federation, Alliance and independents seem well scattered and mixed up with no one region of space dominated by any, but when it comes to teh empire, as you go down it is almost uniquely empire planets throughout space. I guess these people get on better.
