Not sure about prices, but from what me and friends have been testing with factions. You can kill 'independant' faction within imperial space and you get a rep bonus with the opposing imperial faction. Shok.

Ericksson E Nov 26, 2014 #4 I wonder if that will then affect missions offered etc. if the faction thinks you're good, maybe they'll pay more, or offer more missions.
