Powerplay Faction leader bonus questions

Hi

I asked before but didn't get an answer.

One of the factions gives a bonus of +20% bonus to rep for each whatever. But I must be in exploited/ held areas. Must these areas belong to the actually leader or will it still work as long as it is earned in the appropriate group's space i.e. Feds or Emp or Alls?

Powerplay bonuses only apply to that specific power's exploited and controlled systems.
