Faction questions:

Getting to grips with the complexities of the faction systems:

1. Are stations controlled by a particular faction within a system, if so how do you know which one?

2. If I attack a merchant and pirate his cargo, will his entire faction automatically become hostile to me?

3. If I become wanted by a fed- or empire-aligned faction, will I also get a fed/imp bounty?

4. What is a galaxy-wide fine, how did I get it and how do I pay it?

Thanks!

1. When you target a station, it should say to whom it belongs in the left hand targeting data.

2. They won't automatically become hostile unless they witness the act, but it will cause you to lose rep with them and gain a bounty for assault/murder.

3. Yes. if you become wanted in fed/imp space, a bounty will be placed on your head, but you can pay it off at any station at the pilots federation contact.

4. I think you get those for commiting misdemeanors in anarchy sectors? You should be able to pay those off at a security office contact in an anarchic station.

All this is AFAIK, sorry if it's a bit off, or totally upside down crazy wrong.
