Faction ships

Hi,

I am aligned with ALD and am currently doing the community goal where I am collecting bounty vouchers in Dahan for any wanted ships.

My question is this: If I see an Imperial Courier, and the ship is wanted, does my standing/ranking/reputation decrease with the Empire if I destroy this ship? The status on the Imperial Courier does not show any information about an Empire faction, just the name of the ship is Imperial Courier.

If I see an Imperial Courier and I'm in a combat ship, I always pull the trigger.

Your reputation is not tied to you rank.
you can tank your reputation and still gain rank with missions.
you won't get a promotion mission however unless you are friendly.

Short answer no. That it is an Imperial Courier is completely irrelevant. it's the ship's class. It's not an Imperial courier as in someone transporting stuff.

This. I've fought civil wars where the Feds fly Imperial Couriers etc (lolwut?), but the ship type has no bearing on what happens to your standing when you kill it.

This^^ - and you major faction standing can never decrease and it can only increase with bounty board mission. Why Fd ever changed it, I will never know...
