Okay, so I just got the failed to communicate thingie about 6 or 7 times in a row even though the client says everything is all tickety poo, along with the web page that has a server status box. So I figured it was time to exit stage Left, preferably not Right if you get my drift. No point in running missions if the server is feeling a little down, if you will.
So maybe it's time for the boys, the Frontier devs, to cut back on some things. First up, the Engineers stuff, ditch that. No one in their right mind plays that, right.?!? And at the very least, stop foisting those weird 4-unit cargo blocks on me, make it optional. There's only so many hours in a day, and I need time for my naps too.
And all the mining mission requests, just ditch Mining, period. It's lame and boring as all get out. I'd rather watch paint dry, not to mention the intense resource load on the servers. And ya, I know, it's all part of the history of the game and so on and so forth. But there's much bigger and better things coming down the pipe in the v2.2 update, it's time to cut our losses, to move on.
But overall I'm pretty content these daze, especially with some of the planet based missions that are actually fun, and worth doing now. I guess someone at HQ finally remembered that the whole Horizons thing was largely about planets. I wonder who had the brain fart on that one, or maybe they just laid off some of upper management.?!?
