Horizons Failed to communicate with the server!

Ive been playing edh normal since 11am.

between 15.30pm and 16.00pm all Ive had is Failed to Communicate with the server when I'm trying to hand missions in.
This happened all yesterday evening between 19.00pm 20.00pm my mate and I
get this every evening, its not just me either, from reading the forums a lot of players in the UK at these times are having the same problems.
I think that Frontier need to look at their servers as its certainly not my internet as I have no problem with Eve Online or Star Citizen.
Also why hasn't the Missions bonuses been fixed yet today alone I have lost nearly 3 million in bones you cant do ie.. 75k bonus in 0H 0M this seriously needs to be looked at Frontier and your server problem to.:mad::mad::mad::mad:

Now it is no longer fault is habit.

It's not a detail of the game is the game, I wish Frontier have a little more respect with the players and solve the servers problem faster.

When server problems start is a sign that the company is not doing well, I've seen it happen before.
 
I had to come over here and check to see if anyone else was having this problem. This is getting ridiculous!

The Mission Board in the Beta is working fine, but I come back to the live servers and am getting time outs left and right! :(

Switching between Open and Solo seems to help to a degree with OPEN seeming to load more reliably right now than Solo does. But this just isn't acceptable! How long have we been dealing with this in one form or another now? A year? TWO Years?

Has anyone filed a bug report yet or opened a ticket with Frontier Support?

If only it was that simple. I am waiting on a step by step instructional video so I can find out how to actually acquire all the information they seem to want with a report.

Sadly a computer tech I am not.

I meant simply to alert them to the problem. Frontier tends to not pay much attention to the mission board servers most of the time unless someone raises the alarm.
 
Ok, then yes this has been reported I believe, as it has been fixed for 2.2 by all accounts.

I was making reference to the fact that the ED team seem to want a whole plethora of data with the report to show what the issue is.

Unfortunately I, and I imagine a lot of other non technical computer users like me, cannot supply that information, as I do not even know what half of it even means, let alone where to find it.

this seems to be an issue, that tonight (19th) has got a lot more advanced judging by the posts springing up on the boards.

They usually ask for the DXDiag file, which can be generated by the game. I forget the process, but the tech support folks could tell you the steps. Then you simply attach this file to a post in your bug report. Its not that hard to do actually. The file is located within the ED folder of your PC.

But in the case of this Mission Board time out issue, that is a total Red Herring and they shouldn't be wasting people's time asking for it! THis has nothing to do with the client side of the game. This is a server issue and they know that! Irritates me that they put the onus on the reporter as if their PC has the slightest thing to do with this particular problem.

All they need to do is look at this forum to see that plenty of people are all experiencing the same exact issue at the same exact time! [rolleyes] [wacko]

More than 1 hour, I can't connect with mission board but the status servar is OK, Frontisr should be ashamed of lying.
 
It could be that 2.2 is imminent so they don't consider it worth the effort to fix? Just a thought.

Otherwise - I completely agree that blaming (our) computers for server-side problems is stretching credulity a bit. I do think they should prioritize these problems more though - it is an "online game", and so server errors should be seen as CRITICAL - IMMEDIATE FIX.
 
I was making my way to jaques about 2000ly and less im having all sorts of issues, the same in the sol bubble after talking on my discord server it seems deep space explorers are unaffected im not sure what it means at the moment but theres a trend
 
I had multiple mission board time-outs within 90 minutes this evening. :(

Hopefully it is just 2.2 Beta blues, and it will sort itself out at 2.2 release. Thankfully no drops in-between SC and HJ.
 
I had the same thing all yesterday evening (UK time).

The worst bit was that I got screwed out of getting paid Cr250k for a mission.
Took me about 3 goes to get the mission board to work, handed in a mission, got a "could not connect to server" message and then, after a couple more tries, got the mission board up but there was no mission to hand in.
Checked the "Transactions" tab on my ship screen and the mission HAD gone off my list, but I didn't get paid for it. :mad:
