Fair trade - Now you guys are getting Elite...

Since you guys on PS4 are getting Elite, can we on Xbox please get No Man's Sky! Come on, it's only fair :D

Gorgeous looking game and fills in some planetside experiences missing from Elite. I love the whole discovering languages bit by bit and immersing yourself amongst the local fauna and flora

Oh well, looking forward to hearing how you PS4 owners get on with Elite, amazing game!

We all might be better served if Frontier buys the NMS IP and incorporates the better parts of in their 2.4 update. Planets with plants, animals, and base-building, that's really all NMS has over ED. Ironically the base-building, which is a patch update, is one of my favorite parts of NMS these days.

NMS was amazing...... for the first two days.

Having to craft fuel for every single Hyperspace jump soon becomes VERY annoying, and it isn't exactly a ten second job either.

I would concur after 4,000+ hours of NMS, we converts to ED vs ED to NMS, are performing a step up, not down. For a noob to video games. Both have a learning curve, and making units involves a WHOLE LOT of grinding. Should NMS have some of sort of multiplayer, I'd put it above ED. But they, todate, do not. There is NO story lihe to get involved with. Getting to the center of galaxy only allows you to proceed to the next and because one has accomplished everything to do in the game, there is absolutly nithing to do but go to the next and repeat until tge 255th galaxy. At that point, one restarts at theur original starting planet. I'm presently in the 68th galaxy. Next year, on my 69th birthday, I'll warp 145 (got it down to a science) times to number 69.

NMS is great for about 5 hours. I loved the graphic design and all but everything is so samey.
Yep, Beutiful but lacks depth.
NMS is great for ground exploration but they ruined the space flight part of things,
aafter playing Elite XB1 I found the flight in NMS to be demeaning as an experienced (virtual) pilot

If NMS only held your attention for 2 Days you may have a problem with ED also.

That's why I'm highly confident I won't get bored with ED. I want a space(ship) simulator. Saying NMS is a space(ship) simulator is like saying Minecraft is a boat simulator. Now don't get me wrong, I like NMS for what it is, and I still fire it up from time-to-time, but I much rather have a ship without legs than legs without a real ship. Perhaps someday ED will give us both :D

AGREED, in so many different ways. Production staff for starters, NMS has a completely different flavour and feel, ED has much more depth and possibility. NMS is a great game, but I somehow don't think its going to ever better ED

Much of this is by design, because NMS purposefully is going for an "artistic" expression of space, like the covers of Sci Fi books of the 1950s, 60s, 70s. When I told my wife about NMS, I said it's a "fantasy version of space" which actually made her quite happy. I, on the other hand, want the gritty reality of space. NMS is anything but that, and it never will be.

that would be FAIR, if ED was XONE exclusive, but its not (its pc originally), so... you can't ask for that.
In anycase, i would like that all games were multiplatform, everyone has the right to enjoy the same games, its a shame we can't

This is my feeling exactly. how rich would games be if it was truly open play across ALL platforms. Why do us gamers still accept and get dictated to by the corporate bull of sony and Microsoft? its disgusting, pitting us against each other when we just truly want to play and to play with like minded people irrelevant of platform and location. THAT IS THE TRUE GAMING HEAVEN. Being able to co-op with fellow gamers anywhere in the world on any PLATFORM should be the minimum expectation, why have these poor poor barriers between people and platforms
