Fair Warn to Rammers

Waiting to dock and a ASP rocks up and starts bouncing. I let is pass, pesky fly, thinking I'll dock in a second, but no we're all still waiting for NPC to get it's butt out of the outpost. Another ram, I fire a shot at the rammer to warn off - station gives me a fine - he keeps on - so I move out of harms way (well so I thought) and aim at ASP's cargo hatch. Next thing I know it's lights out - lol. Looks like the station reach is further than I thought.

No doubt the ASP pilot is having a good giggle about it - I know I did after the facepalm, hand in the air, 'Yep he got me' moment

Anyhow, I've done trading now - for the time being I've swapped bunch of cargo space out for A6 shields, boosters, cells, beam lasers, multi cannons, KWS etc. I have your names, I know your routes, I'll be waiting to interdict you, waiting out of station laser range and without warning blow your cargo hatch take some stock of my choosing and depending on your behaviour I'll either let you go, blast your FSD or your drive leaving you the igmony of self destruct - lets have you feeling some insurance pain.

Fair play if you cause an insurance claim on me - let the rammer cleansing begin.

:)

There's apparently a bug related to ship booping again (which I won't go into here) which he was possibly trying to exploit.

I'm exploiting nothing - had enough of rammers messing up my peacefull trading so going to do my damndest to clear them out

I don't think he was accusing you. He was referring to your friend at dock.

Honestly you're just making a bad situation worse of yourself. The guys doing this are going to be difficult to find and this is what they do all day, if they wanted to have a honorable fight it would have happened. Chalk it up as a training ex and trade in solo next time.
.
Edit: You could also create a ticket for him but given he didn't technically destroy you I'm not sure what can really be done.

Thought so, just confirming though.

I'm in no rush - this is a long term game and the ink of the names on my sheet of paper wont fade that quickly.

Time to play the game.

I'm sorry, but they won't care. If they move cargo, they'll do so in Solo. If you destroyed their ship, they wouldn't care. If you destroyed ten of their ships, they wouldn't care. Their rebuy costs are minimal. The first cure for this is an FD change to the ramming mechanic; that'll stop them doing this particular thing, at which point they'll look for another exploit. The real cure is to ban them and FD by all accounts will not do it.

Put a ticket in for what exactly?

If his companion had managed to destroy him via a ramming mechanic that would have fallen under an exploit/griefing situation. He might have even got his insurance refunded. Given what he did after getting rammed though I doubt a ticket would do anything in this case.

My stance is rather whine about it, go do something about it.

Some free cargo and some kills can only help the bottom line :)

Yeah, I messed up - lol

an non shielded NPC dropship just interdicted me - it was that one sided I had time to kws it!
Sensless waste of killing - wasn't one of my rammers

Sorry OP, I can't make any sense of your original story.
Not sure what's happening here.

Either way ramming is just bad piloting..

He was waiting for an NPC to clear the mail slot when an Asp started to ram him. He fired at the Asp, but was within the No Fire zone of the station. He moved away, but not far enough, so the station killed him.

He is now going Rambo on Rammers. Right?
