Fake limit

I'd heard about this fake materials limit bug but not experienced it yet until tonight.

So I go to farm a distribution center with my new Epic commander, who almost has no encoded mats and it's going ok but I start hitting storage limits fairly quickly. I'm thinking those "Atypical Distributed Wake Echos" are very typical but not so much that I should hit the limit this fast. I ignored the red flag in my head and farmed away.

When I got to the encoded mat trader, this is what I saw:
Mat Limit Bug.png

As you can see it stopped my collecting prematurely on the grade 1, 2 and 4 mats. I'm sure would have maxed them out at their higher level because those Datamined Wake Exceptions are few and far between!

For those who are not familiar grade one materials normally have a limit of 300, grade 2 has 250, grade 3 has 200, grade 4 has 150 and grade 5 has 100.

 I feel like putting in a ticket and asking for my mats back! :ROFLMAO:

Will getting out of the game and back in get the storage limits back to normal?
Is there an easy workaround to make it stop doing this?

I was watching few recent videos from various CMDRs at YT. This bug is popping out from time to time. The only way to correct this they shared was to log out/log in...

It's been like this for a while (almost 2 years in my experience, but it could be more)

I first experimented it with crystalline shards since its one of the very few instances where you can get in empty and leave 30-40 minutes later with a full G4 bin - without reloggin.

I was going to make a statement along the lines of
How do you mess up if A > B then

Then I remembered I've seen some really weird things happen on computers.

Just for farts and giggles, I put in a Frontier ticket for them to replace the materials I lost to the bug. I'm more interested in elevating the need to fix bugs than having the materials ... but it did represent a fair amount of time.

Oh, and thanks for your usual help Factabulous.
