Fan favorites around the world animal pack for December Holiday season?

What would you say for a Fan favorites around the world animal pack for December Holiday season?

Would you be interested in that kind of pack?
Would you make any changes to it?

I excluded most of the NA animals since we would probably get them very soon in a separate pack and included most voted animals from every continent.

Fan favorites around the world animal pack:

Capybara
Leopard
Sea lion
Tasmanian devil
Lar gibbon
Przewalski horse
Eurasian lynx

You excluded NA animals so what is Sea Lion doing there. This animal will be definitely included in NA pack.
Birds are perfect for december release. December is most favorable period for selling games so they definitely preparing big thing for the game(like aquatic pack was last year).
I would say no, pls dont, that will just shorten the lifecycle of the game and thats the least we all want.
Thank you
+1, putting many big selling animals in one pack is death mark for future content.

First of all stop being so defensive it’s a friendly discussion 😄
Second of all I have clearly written most of NA animals.
I understand and respect your opinions please try to behave the same 😃

I don't think such a pack will happen unless it is the last pack. Gathering all the big-star selling machines together wouldn't be wise from a business point of view.

Also, I have doubts a leopard and a lynx would come together in the same pack bearing in mind that Frontier likes the animals in the same pack to be very different to each other Yes, I know lynx and leopards are very different, but still they would both take the cat spot. I have thought about it many times, especially for an endangered species pack where Iberian lynx and Amur leopard should be present, but I have my doubts.

I'd buy it. and I even had an idea about an Essential Animals pack prior to the Africa information being found, that included several as these animals as well. But I have come to see the point that doing a pack like this would take away some strong sellers from future packs. I mean, it'd probably be a huge seller but it could mean that some people would be less likely the buy a pack that they might have fit in otherwise. I'm all for getting the capybara in someway/anyway they can shoehorn them in, simply because they were such an obvious oversight in the SA pack and there's a huge push from this in this community. but otherwise, it's probably best to keep these high profile animals for being the headliners of future packs. At a time thought that support is wrapping up, I fully support there being a final release like this though - FWIW I think your picks are really good picks.

No, I don't think it's a good idea. There's too much variance on what could be considered a "fan favourite", and besides, it doesn't add anything special to the game for a December release. I also don't see why North America is considered a guarantee for September.

I agree with some of your statements.

What about brachiation for gibbons and then probably orangutans?

Basically as Konig says, brachiation seems like an important feature that could highlight an Arboreal Animal Pack or something (I always imagined this pack coming with new climbing enrichment, more arboreal feeders similar to the eucaplyptus feeder, and so on).

But the main point is that what constitutes as a "fan favourite" depends on whichever "fan" is calling his or her "favourite". Random goat's meta wishlist is a good indicator of some generally popular species, but looking at your list as an example there are already four species that I would complain about.

- Leopard: Which leopard? For a lot of us, "any subspecies will do" isn't an option.
- Lar gibbon: No thanks, I'd prefer the siamang.
- Przewalski's horse: I don't mind it coming in, but there are better choices for a generalised pack such as this one.
- Eurasian lynx: Like the gibbon, I'd prefer a different species (Iberian), though I wouldn't be willing to die on this hill at least.

Of course, in saying that, people have found cause to complain about certain species in every DLC thus far, often with good reason, and there are always points of contention (such as the Australia Pack, a pretty clear divide between those of us in the region who thought the emu and devil were better than the cassowary and dingo, and those outside the region who don't), but I think a pack claiming to represent "fans" with their "favourites" will ultimately be even more divisive than anything we've had so far.

It’s great to see such a detailed statement 😁
It shows that people and their wants and needs are so different and diverse.
Exactly my point. This community is very often at odds around what we consider more important, which isn't a bad thing, but I think the fact that Frontier ultimately doesn't give us a choice (providing feedback isn't the same as actually deciding what goes into the game, as the South America Pack proved) is a good thing.

I mean, it blows my mind that some people don't want exhibit animals, or even worse that some people don't want any more monkeys. I'm sure to some of those people it blows their minds that monkeys are among the most important animals to me. Or even more niche, getting the kiwi and tuatara is very important to me as a New Zealander, but to most others both are probably peripheral animals from a peripheral country that doesn't even show up on half of America's world maps.

We can make that even more general lol.
Say something about wanting european animals on this forum and there are good chances that someone will argue or gaslight that wish.
My Most wanted animal is the european fallow deer, but even when providing data of it being the third Most commonly held animal on zootierliste it was still critizied.
Im Not saying thats wrong, but europa is just the best example for a polarizing topic

Not sure I really like this idea... it's based on a lot of assumptions:
  • That an NA pack is coming next.
  • That the animals included are fan favorites.
  • That brachiation is doable in a believable enough way.
