Fan Feedback Proposal
Rebirth T. rex, Mosasaurus, and Spinosaurus Should Be Released as Variants – Not Skins
Dear Frontier Development Team,
I am a passionate Jurassic World Evolution player from South Korea, and an early supporter who has already pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition of Jurassic World Evolution 3.
I would like to share a heartfelt request on behalf of myself and many other global fans who feel the same way:
As a dedicated member of the Jurassic World Evolution community and on behalf of many fans who share these concerns, I would like to formally request that the Rebirth versions of the T. rex, Mosasaurus, and Spinosaurus be released as separate variants, rather than simple cosmetic skins, in Jurassic World Evolution 3 or any associated DLC.
If Released as Variants: Benefits to Frontier and the Community
✔ Immediate Positive Reception
The community has made its desire clear: these should be separate, playable variants. Responding to this would generate immediate goodwill and strengthen the connection between Frontier and its fans.
✔ Influencer Support = Free Marketing
Influential content creators have both advocated for variant treatment. Their positive reaction to such a decision could lead to:
• Widespread community excitement
• Viral, unpaid promotion to millions of viewers
• Enhanced pre-order interest and DLC performance
✔ Stronger DLC Sales Potential
A variant offers more gameplay value than a skin — including custom stats, behaviors, and size differences.
This reinforces the premium nature of the DLC and increases the perceived value, improving purchase conversion rates.
Risks of Releasing Rebirth Creatures as Skins Only
1. Potential Loss of Fan Trust and Community Immersion
There is a strong consensus within the community that the Rebirth versions deserve to be full-fledged variants due to their size, proportions, animations, and unique behaviors.
Releasing them as simple skins may be perceived as:
• A lack of full realization of accuracy and immersion
• A minimal implementation that may feel underwhelming
• Overlooking long-standing community feedback
This could result in disappointment and reduced confidence in Frontier’s responsiveness to its fanbase.
2. Possible Negative Impact on DLC Sales and Perception
The T. rex is arguably the most iconic dinosaur in the franchise, and fans expect premium treatment of such creatures, especially in a paid DLC.
If Rebirth creatures are released merely as skins, some criticism might arise such as:
• “This feels more like a free update than a premium DLC.”
• “Just a reskin? It may not justify the purchase for some.”
• “A missed opportunity to fully embrace the DLC’s potential.”
This could directly affect sales performance and future interest in DLCs.
3. Risks to Community-Developer Relationship
Frontier has built a strong reputation on community-driven development.
If strongly united community feedback is overlooked — especially when supported by major influencers — it might cause:
• Community apathy: “Why bother giving feedback if it’s ignored?”
• Damage to Frontier’s player trust and reputation for listening.
Summary of Risks if Not Implemented
Strategic Conclusion
Releasing the Rebirth versions of the T. rex, Mosasaurus, and Spinosaurus as variants is not just a fan service — it’s a strategic decision that:
• Increases player trust
• Enhances the DLC’s value
• Maximizes marketing reach
• Aligns with Frontier’s core philosophy of community collaboration
We sincerely hope you consider this direction in your development planning. Thank you for your continued dedication and the incredible experiences you have provided through the Evolution series.
Please note that this feedback is shared with utmost respect and love for the Jurassic World Evolution franchise and Frontier's work. My intention is to contribute to the continued success of this amazing series.
Sincerely,
A passionate Evolution community member from South Korea.
