Hello and welcome to​


It is the story of Mathias Shallowgrave, space vagabond, warm-hearted smuggler and rebel opportunist, who is my character in Elite: Dangerous.

The blog is divided into 2 parts for now.

  • “The Azeban Dream” part is Mathias’ journey through the beta stage of the game, as I test it and play.
  • “Shallowgrave Tales” – this will begin when the full version of Elite is released.

The story is served in the form of Commander journal entries written in the 1st person. I hope you will enjoy reading it as much as I'm enjoying writing it!

Watch this space for updates. I will be posting more entries as I play the game and live through the new adventures and events. Any feedback is most welcome, either in this thread or through the contact form on the website.

Disclaimer: Please note English is not my native language and you may come across grammar and phrasing mistakes. I would greatly appreciate if you point these out to me! Thanks.

There are currently 7 journal entries in the Azeban Dream part. I have also added the character bio.

I think this is the final shape of the blog - it's going to be kind of a collection of story driven drabble journal entries written in first person perspective. I'd love to hear your opinions guys! Do you like that style of writing? Any improvement suggestions?
