Fancy Space Stations with palm trees???

Hello... I'm sure this will seem like a bit of a beginner question.

How does one find or get to those fancy space stations that I keep seeing in pictures and youtubes? The ones with the palm trees in the docking bay. Is the placement randomized or do you have to "unlock" access to them through climbing the ranks with factions or completing other tasks in game?

I'm currently aligned with Lavingy Duval but have no merits and no rep, I do however have %100 allied status with the Empire when I look at my little right hand screen in my ship.

I have been literally just flying around to every system in Imperial space that I can see with high populations hoping to stumble in to one. I really want to see one of these stations up close! They look amazing!

Thanks!

Which interior you see depends on the station you visit. There are a few with that interior around but they aren't very common, especially in Empire space.

LHS 3006 (Leonard Nimoy Station) is a fancy clean station with palm trees. The system is 11.95 light Years from Asellus Primus (where you start at Bakers Prospect if you have Horizons and start with the Horizons Sidewinder package)

Aramzahd (my current home base) is a beautifully decorated saud-kruger oasis - palm trees and gardens, the whole bit.

Norman Mavis' Bingo Palace! You can't top that for a swanky address!!

You'd expect more station 'flair' in Empire space I'd think.

Welcome to Elite: Dangerous, where every NPC and every station and everything else is jarringly, awkwardly identical across every corner of inhabited space. Funny how even the permit systems are mostly lame and underwhelming.

Soothsayer ? **said in puzzled suprise** Soothsayer ? More the Oracle of Delphi...

If you think Elite's full of the same stuff, you ought to try the forums. For example, it's inevitable that when anyone says anything about a feature, sooner or later someone will come along and post something like "not enough! should be better!" Talk about boring repetitiousness --- I wish Frontier did a better job with the AIs in the forums.

jrb: Thanks for the link to the Inara.cz website. I had no idea about it! It's truly glorious! I've registered! Much thanks!

Hooplah: *bows deeply* This is amazing! Thank you so much!!! WOOO! :)

Surly_Badger: your last post made me laugh! Hahah, Truly... I'm grateful that Braben has carried the Elite torch so far. I'm loving every second I spend with Elite Dangerous Horizons.

WOOT! Thanks to everyone on the thread! I made it! :D

My new "home base" docking garage for all my ships is now permanently stationed out of TANNHAUSER GATE!
I couldn't have asked for a better home... Awesome Blade-Runner reference!, Under the control of my aligned faction (Lavigny Duval), nestled in the heart of Imperial space and No permit required!

Some pics! :D

Ah I've been to Tannhauser Gate... nice clean looking station. Way back (last year?) I essentially turned it into a home base for that very reason.. then I got the wanderlust.
