Howdy folks—
It's been a few months, but this morning I posted the latest chapter of Fangs, my noir-themed Elite web comic. In the last thread, I talked a little bit about what I'm trying to do with the story (and I did quite a bit more bloviating about plot and structure in this thread on the elite subreddit), so I won't dump all of it in here as well
Art, after all, is more about what the beholder gets out of it than what the creator wants.
Very briefly, though: while the first 10-part "book" of Fangs was a bunch of disconnected vignettes, book 2 tells a coherent story of two people who fall in love and set off to see the galaxy together. It's done in a noir-style series of stills, and the talented David Hall has lent his brush to come up with several panels of character art that I can't do on my own.
In chapter one, our protagonists meet and fall in love.
In chapter two, we take a peek into life aboard an Asp Explorer.
In chapter three, the latest chapter, cracks begin to develop—after all, no real relationship is perfect.
Book 2 will be seven chapters long, and I hope to have it all done by the end of the year, if work and real life are kind. I hope you all enjoy
