Read First Fantastic Books Needs You!

There's only 7 days left on the Indiegogo for Fantastic Books. This DOES impact on Elite Dangerous (why I didn't put it in the Off Topic) because it makes it more likely that the books will be converted to Audio Format. I know Allen has that covered, but the other two... it'll be easier if FB have their audio section up and running.

With one week left, they've barely raised 10 percent of their 25k needed. There are more than a few hundred of us on here, I'm sure between us and some others we can help Fantastic get that goal.

Bloody Elite-related projects...

No impact on the game as it only affects the authors.

ETA: I still would like the project to succeed as the authors have put in a lot of their personal time to write the books and this would complement their efforts. I feel though that this thread would have been better posted in the Fan Creations section as it would have hit the right audience.

I hope for the best for that campaign, although I personally never listen to audio books (I'm likely to zone out and miss entire chapters) and always prefer to read the story myself.

The fan creations section is a bit of a questionable place to discuss the licensed, official tie-in novels, though. The stories are part of the game, basically, as they all build up the same universe.

Nothing I love more than reading a book with my ears... but it is so much less painful to have the book read to my ears without the need to lobe it over to the next page...

Remember out there are many ears with bad ear-sight, these ears are suffering and struggling to keep up with the modern literature of today due to their exclusion from accessing its inky smartness..

HELP Fantastic books help these short sighted ears, by providing pre-read books for your ears to enjoy listening to...

Say NO to EAR PAPERCUTS... and pledge a little to help get this project funder...

Trouble is, the books they offer in the campaign have no interest to me whatsoever. I have looked at contributing, but not yet. My position (and I suspect I am not alone with this) was to wait and see and jump on later if they got to the point where books I might be interested in started to appear as stretch goals, etc. Doesn't look like much chance of that at the moment.
