Fantastic Elite Fiction Kickstarter (FUNDED!!!)
Dear Elite Community,
You may be aware that four works of Official Elite Fiction have gathered under the banner of Fantastic Books Publishing and are, as we speak, being finalised as ebooks. We've taken no prisoners in ensuring quality, originality and aligning them with the universe of Elite: Dangerous. These books are canon and will be part of the background of the game we all start playing in a few months time.
In these stories you will find tales of daring, revolution, scheming, plotting and fierce firefights across the Federation, the Alliance and the Empire. Written using insider information as provided by Frontier, these books contain previously unseen detail, secrets and insight into the universe of Elite: Dangerous.
We're aiming high, with quality as our watchword. We have set ourselves quite a mission - but it's been driven and designed to cater for the demand the community at large has been asking of us.
Not content with just providing these electronic ebook editions, we want to go further, upping the quality of our products to paperbacks, hardbacks, special signed copies, boxsets, signed boxsets and professionally produced audio versions (with notable mainstream actors).
This exceeds our individual resources, so we have banded together with our publisher and, as tradition dictates, launched a Kickstarter to fund this goal.
Elite has been 30 years in the making, and this opportunity will never come again, we want to our books worthy of this event, unparalleled in the history of computer gaming.
Time and again the Elite community has proved its mettle, Elite itself was funded as you know. I led a controversial charge; kickstarting a kickstarter. They said all this couldn't be done... they were wrong.
So we're turning to this community once again. Every book here has been written by fans for the fans. We've invested thousands of hours in making this the best it can be and we want to go further, so we're throwing this out to you - will you help us make this happen?
From even the entry level pledge of £1 you will get a meaningful reward - an ebook copy of a story from the Elite Anthology.
For those of you who have backed Elite: Dangerous itself and can stretch to one of our hardback books at £25 (choose any of the four FPB books), we will provide you all the other books as ebooks too.
For those of you who have backed any one of our book projects you'll receive the audiobook versions of all four stories too for that same £25 hardback pledge.
We would appreciate any pledge you can make and thank you all for your support to date on bringing these projects to life.
