The Internet connection was a shame indeed, the ISP let them down somewhat.
There was so much to do and see etc. I finally made it to Sam Stanley's 16-bit Retro-Gaming area at around 8pm on the Sunday for example. Remarkable how "blocky" the games looked despite my previous experience being an Acorn Electron!
Sean Schofield's (CMDR Noctivagus) gaming rig was truly awesome. He arrived before Fantasticon started to setup and left after it finished to help with the teardown. A top fellow, truly.
It was an absolute delight to catch up with the authors that I had met last year (e.g. Stuart Aken) and to meet some new ones. Grant and Simon Woollcott deserve an extra-special mention and thank you for their efforts. Wonderful fellows, all of them. They even managed to play "my theme" to help with nervously-fast-beating heart when it came to my turn to face the audience.
So many thank yous, so many magnificent people. I could gush for hours and still accidentally leave someone out and kick myself for it later.
