Community Event / Creation Fantasticon 2015 - how was it for you?

Welcome Commanders,

The dust is settling under Fantasticon 2015 so....

... did you enjoy it?

[ I certainly did, two days just isn't long enough amongst such marvellous people ]

I could only stay a short while on the Saturday, but it was good to catch up with the FD staff and CMDRs that I'd met from the Premiere and other things!

Was a shame that they didn't get the internet they needed to stream the event as planned though.

The Internet connection was a shame indeed, the ISP let them down somewhat.

There was so much to do and see etc. I finally made it to Sam Stanley's 16-bit Retro-Gaming area at around 8pm on the Sunday for example. Remarkable how "blocky" the games looked despite my previous experience being an Acorn Electron! :) Sean Schofield's (CMDR Noctivagus) gaming rig was truly awesome. He arrived before Fantasticon started to setup and left after it finished to help with the teardown. A top fellow, truly.

It was an absolute delight to catch up with the authors that I had met last year (e.g. Stuart Aken) and to meet some new ones. Grant and Simon Woollcott deserve an extra-special mention and thank you for their efforts. Wonderful fellows, all of them. They even managed to play "my theme" to help with nervously-fast-beating heart when it came to my turn to face the audience.

So many thank yous, so many magnificent people. I could gush for hours and still accidentally leave someone out and kick myself for it later.
