FantastiCon 2016 is coming to Hull again on the 19th and 20th November and this year it's going to be bigger, better and EVEN more Fantastic!

This is a different kind of convention. Last year, hundreds of people came not only to shop for awesome fudge and collectables, but to take part in science fiction, fantasy, technology, comics, gaming, books and cosplay.
This year we are open for two days and for just £10 (£8 NUS) per day you can enjoy;

  • Drive a starship as part of an Artemis Crew
  • Join in a nightly Nerf War
  • Have a go in the latest virtual reality with Oculus Rift
  • See the latest games in action in our technology corner, including Elite: Dangerous, Star Citizen, No Man's Sky and many more...
  • Test a Google Cardboard VR headset with your own phone
  • Drive a Dalek and see some amazing creations by Robert Philips and Euan Gloyn
  • Watch Simon Fisher Becker's exclusive live one-man show
  • Join in live Q&A and workshops both days including authors, musicians, cosplayers, actors, the man behind Star Trek Fact Files and many more
  • Cosplayers can fix their gear at the dedicated Cosplay Hospital
  • Listen in to book readings from Kate Russell, Drew Wagar, Stuart Aken, John Scotcher and more
  • Meet our celebrities, authors and guests
  • LIVE MUSIC from Saraswathi, Jemma Johnson and Cmdr Hugh Mann
  • And to keep you refreshed - unlimited free soft drinks and biscuits for all!
All of this and much more @ FantastiCon 2016

I will have a little extra pledge award for KS backers. Details at 12pm today (24/08)

Cheers,

Drew.

If you haven't yet signed up for this Kickstarter, time is running out rapidly! If you intend going to Fantasticon and haven't yet pledged for your tickets, now is the time to do it - Wrongway and I did ours yesterday and really want this to succeed as I know it will be worth every penny, having been to both Fantasticons held so far. The location is right in the centre of Hull, so there are plenty of hotels within walking distance and easy to reach if travelling by train.

For as little as £10 you can get a single day ticket or £17 for a weekend ticket. There are also many other options giving extra rewards depending how much you would like to spend, including family tickets and all sorts of extra goodies!

There are still 40 hours left on the Kickstarter so make sure to make your pledge, from as little as £1 for simple backing, this weekend! Hope to see this succeed and look forward to seeing many of you there. :D

Shame this thread is stuck in a sub-forum which very few people probably even know about, never mind look at. It could do with being in Dangerous Discussions.... but I know how you like to compartmentalise (is that a word?) everything. :x

Edit: Just checked the Kickstarter page and the target has been met! Well done all! :D
