Found this park on an old external drive about 90% complete. Just added a few small flouishes, added a few rides, and here we go...
Back in the 1950’s and early 60’s there sprang up dozens of small “theme parks” focused on the younger crowd such as Dutch Wonderland in Lancaster PA, Santa's Workshop near Pikes Peak in CO, Adventureland near Chicago, Wild West City in NJ, North Pole USA in upstate New York, and Fantasyland in Gettysburg.
Most of these quaint little parks had a few kiddie rides, small tableaus of storybook characters or "wild west" type attractions, a train around the perimeter, and perhaps one or two “adult” rides. Most were cute, well maintained, and very popular as family destinations.
Welcome to Fantasyland 1964! This park is an amalgamation of or tribute to all those long gone kiddie parks that most baby boomers still recall with fondness.
This park began life in the mid 1950’s as Enchanted Forest. A few rides and attractions were scattered throughout the 20 acre grounds, including an entertainment stage, a Denzel carousel, a kiddie Ferris wheel, the ever present Tilt-A-Whirl, and a small Pretzel dark ride themed to a storybook setting.
