Apologies to Commander Cassel, he sent me a PM to say how excited he was to see himself launch from the station in my Alpha 3 video before I took it offline. It was a great moment to see another player launch out of the station while wearing a virtual reality headset everything the 12 year old us had dreamed of!

Cool vid! I wonder how much Oculus is going to cost when it retails, because I want some of that in my Elite: Dangerous experience. My wife will think I'm mad, but I'd be happy!

Not that I'm trying to make excuses... but... this was actually an attempt at solving a glitch.
After my first dock (on the previous evening) my weaponry was somehow disabled. I got the animations of the weapons emerging out of the hull, but no reticule or ability to fire. This was my initial Sidewinder too, and nothing had been bought or sold. Default firegroups.
After logging out and back in (when able - this was Alpha 3.0!), as well as visiting the different scenarios, I then went back here to re-dock and perhaps to hopefully reset... I exited to discover that it hadn't been fixed. Weird.

So yeah, I spun it around and flew it into the station.

That worked. New Sidewinder. Problem resolved.
Ticket raised. Under Investigation.

so going by the standard currency conversion we get with everything that comes in from the states that will retail in the UK at about £399 then :(
