Someone did it,who i guess we will never know, but think about it for a milli second and then fast forward to today, then step back 30 years.
When Elite was released our forums were the playground/pub etc and that was about it, anyone have a night after school of playing Elite at a mates house and wishing they had a disk drive not a tape deck ??
Was Elite perfect ?
Was it the game that 70% of your friends wanted to play instead of Frogger ?

I will hold my hands up and say i am way late to the party, got in after Summer Nights but before Love Is All Around.
Do i own ED ?
No I do not but when it is released it will be my game, same way as Elite is always my game, yes i know loads of people that bought it 30 years ago and thats how they regard it.
Yes ATM it has flaws and yes there are a few things i would like tweaked but if they are not on the Devs " To Do List" then i either play the game they make or make my own.
What will i do when it is released, what path should i take?
Who cares it will be my game to play it how i want, no A-Z to get to where i want and i hope the chance to meet a fellow CMDR following my exact game is < 1 %

As testers we will be the Mates/Friends of new players so maybe the forum could be trimmed down at release so that all the many many helpful posts could be simplified so that we give ED as much help to enter HyperDrive from the off
