Hello, everyone.
This'll be a long post. Bear with me, and read attentively.
After about four months of being a member of the Frontier Planet Zoo forum, I am going to say that I will quit for a while. A month or two. Why, you ask?
1. Practical reasons. I'm a grade 12 student, I'm gonna face a lot of exams for my grades. Given they aren't very well, I believe with this time off perhaps I'll spend more time hitting the books than procrastinating in forums like this. It's a time waster.
2. Sanity reasons. Pre-launch, I am blessed to be a contributor to this forum, and I am pleased to see the pure tranquil waters this place has to offer. However, come Beta and post-lanuch, that water is tainted with stinky poison. Complaints and grouchiness and ungratefulness littered like waste. It's bad for the eye and the mind, man. It's not the message that bothers me, but the messenger's inappropriate method to deliver the message. I can't stand it. Therefore, I want to detoxify myself.
Now here are my hopes:
Please, be patient. Game might not be perfect, no game will ever be. Give the developers time to evaluate and analyse the problem given. As much as I agree that there is room for improvement, how can the room be improved if the workers don't know how to improve it? The foundation's set, it's time to add the accessories and furniture, but at a later date. Be content with the animals we have. I'm sure we'll have more species, but don't act as if the game stinks just because it doesn't have an animal you want so badly.
There's no need for rude remarks and name-shaming. Just 'cause someone disagrees with you, doesn't mean you have to call him/her a freak. Same thing applies when you want to report or suggest something to the developers. They'll work hard, just add more patience.
All in all, I wish PZ the best of luck in the coming days. It'll take both people and developers to make this game better for everyone. I may not have the game now due to specs and pricing, but I will want to enjoy it if I do get my hands on it. Thank you for the people who has spoken (or typed) with me. Thank you for being such decent virtual friends. I apologize if I had been a man riddled with unnecessary paranoia and suspicion, along with some daft remarks. I look forward to the day when we can all enjoy Planet Zoo in all her glory, without mocking each other and constructive criticism when needed.
Thank you...
Masteradstriker.
